Teachers are so important and so underpayed that it's actually criminal. I haven't gone to school in awhile, but I did take classes and courses, and their work is so underappreciated by the system.

Used to be that people thought the Sun was the same distance away as the moon, because they're "the same size," and now with mandatory schooling, every kid (who can afford to go to school) knows that's just not true.

So many valuable lessons (in the classroom or not), putting up with so much sh*t from students and parents alike, and the system's like "eh, you don't deserve a living wage." >:(

f*ck that.

Most of my school teachers were weird about my learning style, but I had one, Mr. Zetlin, who was just amazing. Shout out to Mr. Z and all other great teachers I've ever had, y'all are what kept me and so many other kids from feeling stupid and depressed and like something was "wrong with me."

Appreciate your teachers. Especially the ones who understand you. They put in alot of work for too little pay.

ablebodied people literally cannot f*cking cope even for 1 microsecond with the fact that some things aren’t about them and it’s hilarious

Thickened liquids (honey or nectar thick) are for people who have difficulty swallowing. Thin liquids can make people choke.

Pre-cut vegetables are for people with fine motor skill issues who can’t safely/easily cut up their foods. It’s also helpful for executive dysfunction as cooking takes less steps if your ingredients are pre-prepared.

Any device helping you get shoes/socks/clothes on is for people with mobility issues who cannot reach or manipulate the item correctly onto their body.

A liquid diet is a specific diet for GI problems, I believe. This can also be helpful for swallowing issues and executive function issues.

This is not a comprehensive list of everything that these items help with.

Happy to help!!!! If you are giving someone thickened liquids, also try to get them some juice or something flavored because the thickening powder makes the water taste bad…..
